Logo design and corporate branding

Brief

Jane Hardman Ferris, designer and creator of bespoke jewellery, headdresses and bridal accessories needed a new corporate identity that reflected her own unique style, which is inspired by the vintage age of fashion and jewellery. We have worked with HF Couture on several projects in order to build a strong corporate identity that matches Jane’s vision and ethos.

Solution

We started by designing a striking new logo in the Art Deco style, followed by a set of stationary, exclusive press packs designed for an exhibition in London and a website, which beautifully showcases H F Couture’s work. The embossing technique used on the business cards, not only makes the logo visually appealing; it also gives the brand a tangible quality. Jane is a pleasure to work with as she places her full trust in us. This sort of creative freedom is great for the design process – as is reflected in the results! The brief for the press packs was left open and included close-up photography of one of Jane’s beautiful collections on a set of postcards. For the folder, we inverted the logo and set it on a pure black background on uncoated stock; whereas a gloss laminate finish was chosen for the A5 sized postcards to bring Jane’s work to life. The cards fit snuggly into the folders using a capacity gutter.

Outcome

HF Couture’s elegant, new monochrome branding, coupled with a visible web presence, has helped raise Jane’s profile with local and clientele, as well as within the wider wedding market. Jane has been invited to exhibit her work at several prestigious exhibitions, gaining further prominence within the international Bridal Accessory industry.
